Team Saturday at The Hill School is an enrichment program for area students. During the school year the program meets from 10:00 to 2:00 on roughly every other Saturday at The Hill School; in the summer, on five consecutive Saturdays. The program is free of charge to the families and provides lunch and busing.

Job Summary
Plan and lead two 40-minute cooking classes each session for students grades 2 through 5 (ages 7 to 10). Class size: two groups of 8-9 students, organized by age, and accompanied by 2-3 Hill School 8th grade mentors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing the lunch menu and planning the cooking lessons to include the preparation of some of the dishes for the program’s midday meal
Integrating leadership opportunities for the Hill School 8th grade mentors and high-school volunteers
Assisting with the afternoon combined-groups activity
Purchasing groceries and supplies for which you will be reimbursed
Ensuring that the kitchen is left clean and organized
The ideal Team Saturday cooking instructor has a love for, and experience with, cooking and working with children in elementary through middle school. They are also good planners, patient, and flexible. Being able to keep calm, kind, cheerful, and respectful in a high-energy, fast paced setting is critical. Kitchen management, homemaking, and budgeting skills are a plus. Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required.
This is a contract position and does not imply an employee status with The Hill School.
